Outside Scorpio:

Water tank is located under the slatted box as you board Scorpio. Remove the metal stopper and fill using the hose from the tap situated at the rear of the boat. The water tank should not be left to run dry as this can damage the pump (see below for the pump switch location).

Front storage locker contains coal and kindling.

Door lock can be opened by card, dongle, or individual code

Side hatch can be opened if the cover is unbolted first. Cover must be replaced in heavy rain.

Inside Scorpio:

Keys are kept in the right as you enter Scorpio. These include the outside toilet key and a key for the residential area should you need to reset the electricity supply.

Duck food is usually left just inside the door for your use.

Water pump switch is located behind the sofa in the corner. This should usually be left on but if the tank runs dry and the pump won't stop you must turn it off manually by the switch and fill the tank before turning on again.

TV has Freeview channels plus Netflix and Amazon Prime. Please sign into your accounts to use these services. You will also find a PS4 for your use. You will need to provide your own games.

Wi-fi code is available on request.

Living area:

The Sofabed can be folded out to create a double bed. You will need to move the footstool and steps first to make room. These can be moved to the kitchen area.

Smart devices including Amazon Alexa and Ring security camera are available to use. If not required you may unplug them or remove the battery.

Plug sockets also contain USB charging sockets.

Wood burner is available for use. Please get in touch if you would like instructions for use. Kindling and coal are stored in the front locker and fire lighters are in the slatted box under the TV. The fan is used to circulate the heat around the boat. (Please be aware the surface of the burner gets very hot when in use). 

Oil radiators are available for cold weather. There is one in the living area and one in the bedroom.

Dining table will fold out to seat 3 to 4 people.

Kitchen area:

Electric hob is induction so will only work with relevant pots and pans. Those supplied will work fine but you will need to use the supplied induction plate for the coffee pot. Only wipe down with a damp cloth, not clearing products.

Mini oven is located in the cupboard under the hob. It should only be used with the door fully open and the shelf pulled out. 

Microwave is located under the oven 

Kitchen sink may sometimes not drain completely. In this case, you can rock the boat slightly to tilt it and allow the water to run out.

Washing machine is available for use but please note it will use more water so the tank should be refilled after use each time. 

Fire blanket and extinguishers are located at the end of the towpath side worktop with and additional one by the front door 

Shower room:

Cassette toilet has instructions for use on the bathroom shelf. It will usual need to emptied weekly if used regularly. Please use the chemical flush button on top and lever located on the bottom for daily use.

Shower should only be operated with the pump active. The switch is located on the wall opposite the light switch.

Bedroom:

Immersion switch for operating the hot water is located by the headboard. This will usually be left on.

Storage drawers are located under the bed.

Wardrobe has hanging storage and shelves. 

Safe is located in the wardrobe for storing valuables. Code is available on request..
